Introduction of Jewelbug Corgis and my breeding ideology: 

I am a preservation breeder. My aim is to preserve this breed at its finest! This is my great passion, not my job. Every single day, I research the breed, try to get involved in the available platforms, and connect with breeders who share my views! I am a small hobby breeder, focused on producing a few high-quality dogs with excellent temperament, conformation, and breed type. Our dogs are our family members first and foremost. As such, my dogs live with us – we do not have kenneled dogs!

Protecting the pedigrees is very important and something I take extremely seriously. Individuals with whom I build relationships share the same commitment. I carefully plan to breed healthy and sound puppies. The planning phase of breeding involves in-depth pedigree research and careful strategic evaluation. This process can take months, even years, and may require searching globally to find the best mating. The breeder's goal is to produce a next generation that is better than the parents. Breeding quality over quantity is crucial for the goal of breed protection! This means I will never have more than a few litters per year, so I may not have a pup ready for you tomorrow. Reserving one of our dogs may require time and patience!

I am strictly focused on my dogs and breeding goals. It is never only show success that will determine my work. If I find a male "my type" with a great pedigree, even without show titles, I will mate with him before choosing the world winner of the year who is not my type.

My dogs may not always win at shows. Often, there may be a better dog, and I will happily concede. Sometimes, it may not be a better dog, but an influential handler/owner, and I may be disappointed. But I will learn from it! I will never build hypocritical relationships for the sake of winning. I hope that, at times—even if not always—great dogs will be enough for success.
